This simple supplement has just a few ingredients that have evidence-based support for the immune system.
If you think you’ve been exposed, OrthoMune may help reduce potential symptoms before they start. Even if you’ve been diagnosed with Covid, this may help mediate the severity of the effect on the body and assist with recovery.
Quercetin
This bioflavonoid has a star role in supporting healthy immune function Quercetin is a powerful antioxidant known for its ability to combat harmful free radicals. It has been shown to block the mechanisms by which microbes enter the host cells and replicate within the body. It also helps stimulate excretion of respiratory mucus. (1, 2, 3)
N-Acetyl Cysteine
NAC is a key player for immunity assisting in all detoxification pathways by supporting glutathione production and counteracting free radicals. (4,5)
Zinc
Zinc supports immune functions such as natural killer cell activity and phagocytosis. Furthermore, studies show that zinc can directly support the body during immune system challenges and can help support healthy respiratory function. (6,7,8)
Vitamin C
A potent antioxidant that has been studied for many years for its immune-supporting effects. Through its antioxidant functions, vitamin C has been shown to protect important immune cells from oxidative damage directly supporting a challenged immune system. It also assists in recycling oxidized quercetin increasing the efficacy of that ingredient. (9, 3)
Vitamin D
It has been shown that low vitamin D levels have immunologic implications with a significant decrease in immune function, affecting respiratory health. (10, 6, 11)
